ストーリー
遥かな昔、とある文明が優れた技術で繁栄を極め、その発展の末に自分たちの世界を破壊してしまった。
それが “災厄”――
世界は一度滅びかけるが、“黎明の一族” が作った塔・ヴェルヴァレム の周辺だけは、長い時間を掛けて徐々に繁栄を取り戻していった。
だが、そこで再び問題が発生してしまう。 人口の増加により塔の循環機能が低下。
つまりヴェルヴァレムの庇護下で安定した環境を得た人々は、“増えすぎてしまった” のである。
当時の治世者たちは悩んだ末に、世界の均衡を保つ狂気のシステムを作り出し、人口の削減に成功。
だがその脅威に対抗するため、人々は戦士を育てるメルクリティ学園を設立し、再び人口は増加の一途を辿ってしまう。
確実に、ヴェルヴァレム崩壊に向けたカウントダウンが始まっていた。
そんな世界に、メルクリティ学園へ通う召喚士・クロエによって偶然召喚されてしまった主人公・立花裕樹。
