Осаму Тэдзука снял этот фильм как вторую часть проекта "Сказки 1001 ночи". Это был один из первых эксперементальных фильмов Тэдзуки ориентированных на взрослую аудиторию. В фильме было много использовано популярных выражений и шуток того времени.
