"Общество культуры свободного тела" (ОКСТ) Санкт-Петербурга было официально зарегистрировано 30 января 1992 г. С октября 1998 г. ОКСТ входит в "Международную федерацию натуризма" (INF) под эгидой ЮНЕСКО (3). Летом натуристы собираются на пляже на побережье Финского залива между жд. ст. "Курорт" и "Солнечное". В жаркие дни здесь отдыхает по разным оценкам от 400 (6) до 5000 (9) обнаженных. основные сёмки проходили именно там.
Основная идея натуризма - максимальное приближение человека к природе для оздоровления тела и духа. Натуризм отождествляют с «нудизмом» (от лат. nudus — голый), так как практика натуризма как правило включает купание, занятия спортом и пр. без одежды. Натуризм зародился в Германии (под названием Freikorperkultur — культура свободного тела) в начале 20 в., главным образом среди студенческой молодёжи, с 20-х гг. получил распространение во многих странах Европы, а также в США, Канаде, Новой Зеландии и других странах, где были созданы национальные федерации натуризма. В 1953 организована Международная федерация натуризма. Клубы натуристов имеют отдельные пляжи, бассейны, спортивные площадки и др.
В своих уставах и практике натуристы строго следят за соблюдением принципов этики человеческих отношений. В России это движение только начинает зарождаться: сказывается историческое прошлое и низкий уровень понимания большинством права человека на индивидуальное поведение.
