Résumé
Dans le cadre des échanges Nord-Sud, l'Europe dépêche des jeunes gens pour oeuvrer en Afrique du Nord en ayant pour mission de transformer un riad en centre culturel multiethnique, une sorte de gïte rural où cohabiteront de nombreux étudiants.
Lucas, un jeune Français, embarque à Marseille pour passer ses vacances au Pays des Mille et Une Nuits. Sans le sou, il voyage en dernière classe. Sur le bateau, il rencontre Karim, un jeune Nomade de retour au pays qui possède un petit hôtel borgne près du souk, dans la médina de la capitale. Ce dernier offre au routard de l'héberger dans sa luxueuse cabine, lui faisant découvrir l'hospitalité arabe sans oublier ses coutumes locales.
Vingt ans après Harem, 17 acteurs nous dépeignent un Maghreb moderne où amitié partagée rime sans détour avec sensualité.

Synopsis
In the spirit of North-South exchanges, Europe sends its young to work in North Africa with the goal of transforming a riad in to a multi-ethnic arts centre; a kind of rural lodge where many students live together.
Lucas, a young Frenchman, sets off from Marseilles to spend his holidays in the country of A Thousand and One Nights. Without much money, he travels in last class. On the boat, he meets Karim, a young traveller returning home, who owns a little hotel close to the souk in the capital's medina. He offers to let Lucas stay in his luxurious cabin, introducing him to arab hospitality and local customs.
Twenty years after Harem, 17 actors show us the modern Maghreb where friendship and sensuality are one and the same thing.
